Our Philosophy

e are committed to providing high quality, affordable out of school care where children have fun!

We recognise that working hours do not always coincide with the conventional school day and school holidays can be the greatest challenge of all. Children enjoy being with other children and thrive in their company, so for your child we aim to provide a safe, secure, fun, stimulating environment where the needs of your child can be met. We offer a range of age appropriate activities with lots of choice creating opportunities for fun and social interaction allowing you affordable accessible child care so you can go to work or attend training/college. Our club isn’t just a childcare club for children with working parents, anyone can attend. We offer a light nutritious snack on arrival; with drinks freely available throughout the session.

The staff team are highly qualified and experienced in all aspects of childcare and education. They take part in regular on-going training and development. Our staff work in partnership with parents, local schools, health, education and other childcare professionals to promote a positive and supportive approach to learning. Our staffing ratios are based on the recommended Ofsted standards.

Our reputation for high standards has been enhanced by an excellent Ofsted report.

• To promote equal opportunities in every aspect of life.

• To maintain an exceptional standard of care, with regards to facilities available, safety, hygiene and interpersonal relationships.

• To ensure all children are equipped with the necessary skills they will need to make the transition from nursery to school.

After School Club KIDS3

After school club @ Tupton Primary School

Monday – Friday 15:30-18:00

Our After School Club team collect children from their class and escort them safely to our after school club setting (class room next door to year 6). Once there we provide children with a relaxed environment where they can freely choose activities and toys to participate in and play with.

Children have the opportunity to relax, do their homework or join in with the activities specifically planned for their age and preference.

A café style service is offered for children to have a healthy snack encouraging children to be independent and giving them freedom to enjoy their time after school with their friends.

Many different themes and projects are organised for children to participate in so they have fun and learn new skills; including healthy lifestyles by encouraging and offering children the opportunity to join in many sports and physical activities.

We aim to provide educational programmes which involve activities and experiences for children, which consider the individual needs, interests, and stage of development of each child in our care. We use information gained about our children on a day to day basis to plan a challenging and enjoyable experience for each child in all of the areas of learning and development.

Many different themes and projects are organised for children to participate in so they have fun and learn new skills; including healthy lifestyles by encouraging and offering children the opportunity to join in many sports and physical activities.

We promote the holistic development of the child by encouraging them to develop their skills, knowledge and understanding. We recognise that play underpins learning for young children and practitioners use a child centred approach to provide and support a variety of appropriate learning opportunities, which meet the diverse needs of young children.

Our planning is based upon the observations and interests of children, which allows us to respond to children’s actions and events and sustain a successful learning environment.

In our setting children can move freely from one activity to another, they can choose their play direction which is a combination of adult focused and child initiated activities throughout the session.

A café style service is offered for children to have a healthy snack both mid-morning and afternoon; encouraging children to be independent. A packed lunch brought in from home is required for children staying all day.
